Privacy Policy

Dayspeak ("the App") is developed by Rowan Kim ("we", "us", or "our"). This Privacy Policy explains how the App handles your information.

Information We Collect

Dayspeak is designed with privacy as a core principle. The App processes the following data types, all of which remain on your device:

• Audio Data: Voice recordings captured during pronunciation practice sessions. Audio is processed entirely on your device for speech recognition, pronunciation analysis, and playback. Recordings are not uploaded to external servers.
• Practice Data: Your schedules, English expressions, practice records, and pronunciation scores are stored locally on your device using Apple's SwiftData framework.

Information We Do NOT Collect

• We do not collect personally identifiable information (name, email, phone number)
• We do not use analytics or tracking SDKs
• We do not use advertising frameworks
• We do not collect location data

AI-Generated Content

The App uses AI services (Claude API by Anthropic and Apple Intelligence) to generate English expressions based on your schedule entries. When generating expressions, your schedule text is sent to the AI service to produce relevant practice content. No personal identifiers are included in these requests.

On-Device Processing

All audio recording, speech recognition, pronunciation analysis, stress pattern evaluation, and soundwave visualization are performed entirely on your device. No audio data leaves your iPhone.

Data Storage and Deletion

All user data is stored locally on your device. We do not operate servers that store your personal data. You can delete all your data at any time by deleting the App from your device. Individual practice records and schedules can also be deleted within the App.

Data Sharing

We do not sell, trade, or share your personal information with third parties. The only external data transmission occurs when generating AI-powered English expressions, which sends only your schedule text (not personal identifiers) to the AI service provider.

Subscriptions

Dayspeak offers optional auto-renewable subscriptions (Monthly and Yearly) managed through Apple's App Store. Payment is charged to your Apple ID account. Subscriptions automatically renew unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. You can manage and cancel subscriptions in your device's Settings > Apple ID > Subscriptions. We do not collect or store your payment information.

Microphone and Speech Recognition

The App requires microphone access and speech recognition permission to provide pronunciation practice functionality. These permissions are requested at the time of use and can be revoked at any time through your device's Settings. All audio processing occurs on-device.

Children's Privacy

The App does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The App is intended for general audiences learning English pronunciation.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated effective date.
